Highlights of 6th webinar (16th Scholarship Program)

The Trust successfully conducted its 6th webinar (16th program) on January 22, 2025. A total of Rs. 5.23 lakh in scholarships were disbursed to 44 deserving students, and during the period from April 2024 to January 2025, Rs. 1.03 crore was conferred upon 854 beneficiaries.

The webinar was graced by renowned philanthropists, businessmen, and alumni from both India and abroad. Notable attendees included Dr. Pramod Joshi (Trustee), Prof. Suman Kumar (Professor at TROY University, USA), Mr. Manoj Kothari, Ms. Sonali Kothari(Mentors), as well as many distinguished Trust alumni such as Vyas Vrajesh, Krish Pagariya, and Balli Yadav, who shared their personal experiences with the Trust.

Dr. Pramod Joshi shared valuable insights with the beneficiaries on various aspects of building a successful career. He emphasized the importance of cultivating a strong social network and how effective communication plays a crucial role in career development. He also encouraged alumni to extend their support and guidance to current beneficiaries.

Shri Manoj Kothari, a mentor in the Trust’s mentorship program, highlighted the significance of communication skills over formal qualifications. He explained how he and other mentors guide mentees in job interview preparation, personality development, and enhancing English communication skills.

Ms. Sonali Kothari, in her address, focused on the importance of other key factors beyond communication skills. She spoke about the value of punctuality, regularity, and showing interest in diverse fields and domains.

Prof. Suman Kumar (Professor, USA) shared his inspiring journey. Coming from a very poor family in Bihar, he gained admission to IIT BHU without attending any coaching classes. He went on to complete his Ph.D. in the USA and became a professor at Troy University. Prof. Kumar also discussed his extensive work with NGOs like the Rotary Club and emphasized the importance of fostering a "culture of giving back." He encouraged alumni across various professions to unite and work towards building a progressive society. He suggested forming networks of service-oriented alumni, such as CAs and MBBS professionals, to mentor and support mentees from the start of their careers.

Balli Yadav (Alumnus, football coach) has demonstrated the true power of determination and dedication in achieving goals. His journey began at the age of 10 when he started working to support himself. Through years of hard work and relentless commitment, he has risen to the position of coach. Balli now coaches football for slum children in East Delhi, offering them opportunities to develop skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging. He has also taken his efforts a step further by organizing football matches in collaboration with various companies, creating valuable exposure and opportunities for these young players to showcase their talents.

Vyas Vrajesh (Alumnus, entrepreneur) shared his journey of building a successful business. He now runs a firm with nearly 60 employees. Vyas spoke about his early struggles, explaining how both his parents were blind and not financially well off. As the eldest child, it was his responsibility to care for the family while continuing his studies. He expressed gratitude to the Trust for its role in his success. Vyas also provides financial support to the underprivileged in Ahmedabad's slum areas and encourages others to do the same.

Krish Pagariya (Alumnus, CA), who cleared all CA exams (Foundation, Intermediate, and Final) on his first attempt, shared his inspiring story of overcoming hardships. His father separated from the family when he was very young, leaving his mother to support his education by working tirelessly as a teacher, tailor, and beautician. Krish introduced his mother to the attendees and praised her unwavering dedication to his studies and their family.

Hence, we spare no effort in supporting them so that they may be able to complete their academics without any obstacles.
